Button Addiction

Yesterday, after I've finished my piano lesson, I went ahead to a shop, and bought dozens of  colorful buttons that surely made me excited! I think that buttons are really nice for cards, and it's 'a must' for card makers to have a bunch of them at home!

Anyway, get ready for tons of cards with buttons, these two cards are only the beginning....enjoy! :)

Future house's Renovation

Remember that  miniature house that I made for my art project? Well, although it's only two weeks old, it has  undergone a renovation.....lol... No more sloping pillars, no more slanting windows, no more uneven balconies.......enjoy! :)

109

I was curious about how many cards that I've made since I'm an obsessed card maker. Yesterday, I counted the cards that I stored in my box ( which is too small to contain all my cards), and guess what? I've made 109 cards and that doesn't include the cards that I've sold or given to other people........lol..... I listed the cards in categories, and here are the details:

19  valentine cards ( which I don't know what to do with them, since I don't have a boyfriend :)
4 thank you cards ( which I never give to other people, since I thank them directly)
16   Christmas cards ( which confused me: why didn't I give them to my friends last Christmas?)
41    Birthday cards ( I vowed to myself that from this day on, I'll give a card to anyone who's having a b'day)
2   New year cards ( which I'm trying to sell, but hellooooo...who's going to buy them? I mean, who's going to  say : 'Happy Belated New year'?))
3   Friendship cards ( which I'll give to my friends when we graduated)
24  Miscellaneous cards ( Which consist of cards that have no distinct purposes )

I didn't realize I've made so many cards, I keep making new ones...oh, well...what can I say? I'm a card maker, obviously. :)

Inside out

The fun part of making cards is:
a. You learn to be creative
 b. You design and improvise

and last but not least.....

c. You make mistakes, which I think,
is the most resenting, yet the most challenging part of them all!

....you'll see in a minute

This part is supposed to be the cover of the card, but later I decided that I didn't want the sentiment to be in black.
So, I flipped the card, so that the inside part would be the outer part and vice versa !
Then,  I covered up the stamped area with another piece of card stock, and voila! The inside of this card is as good as new!

Keep my secret, will you?

Another kind of 'can you keep a secret card', enjoy!
Hand-written sentiment

You can always write the inside of the card using white gel pen, but you can also layer it with a lighter color card stock so that you can write the message inside using whatever color you like

Future home

I promised my self, that when I've grown up, and when I've become rich, I'll build a house like this for myself :)

This is the kind of project that really excited me: making a house miniature!  My art teacher showed us traditional house miniatures, and I asked myself: Do I want a traditional house? No. I prefer a minimalistic modern house, with plenty of rooms and a wide balcony, a house with enough lighting and good ventilation ( like I'm going to build a real house!). So I sketched the design, and got to work! The material that I used is the white poly cardboard ( If I'm not mistaken), and I'm glad I used it.It's so light and easy to cut and and to glue.  Well, here's the ready made house......enjoy!:)
Front look
The staircase that leads to the roof
This ( way too imaginative) staircase took hours of brainstorming and experiments...huh...I'm glad it's finished..
Master bedroom with such simple furniture :)
Living room, with sloping pillars :)

The spiral staircase
Swimming pool! On the top of the roof!

turquoise + orange = Nice!!

Hi guys! I've created another card, using turquoise color combined with orange as a new color scheme (for me), and it turns out really nice. Well, here's the card... Luckily I have buttons that matched the turquoise and orange color that I used, and also, this is a great way to use a bunch of buttons as embellishments to your card..enjoy!
