Keep my secret, will you?

Another kind of 'can you keep a secret card', enjoy!
Hand-written sentiment

You can always write the inside of the card using white gel pen, but you can also layer it with a lighter color card stock so that you can write the message inside using whatever color you like

Future home

I promised my self, that when I've grown up, and when I've become rich, I'll build a house like this for myself :)

This is the kind of project that really excited me: making a house miniature!  My art teacher showed us traditional house miniatures, and I asked myself: Do I want a traditional house? No. I prefer a minimalistic modern house, with plenty of rooms and a wide balcony, a house with enough lighting and good ventilation ( like I'm going to build a real house!). So I sketched the design, and got to work! The material that I used is the white poly cardboard ( If I'm not mistaken), and I'm glad I used it.It's so light and easy to cut and and to glue.  Well, here's the ready made house......enjoy!:)
Front look
The staircase that leads to the roof
This ( way too imaginative) staircase took hours of brainstorming and experiments...huh...I'm glad it's finished..
Master bedroom with such simple furniture :)
Living room, with sloping pillars :)

The spiral staircase
Swimming pool! On the top of the roof!

turquoise + orange = Nice!!

Hi guys! I've created another card, using turquoise color combined with orange as a new color scheme (for me), and it turns out really nice. Well, here's the card... Luckily I have buttons that matched the turquoise and orange color that I used, and also, this is a great way to use a bunch of buttons as embellishments to your card..enjoy!

Cardmaking competition !

A kind of competition that I will surely enjoy! :) Well, tomorrow is Valentine day, and my friends at school organized some competitions, such as eating chocolate competition, best couple, and so on....Actually, the card making competition is the least favorite, but who cares? My friends know that I'm obsessed with cards, and when they heard that there's a card making competition, they asked me to join, and I was like: Sure!!! Why not?

I'm really enthusiastic at the moment, and I'm wondering what kind of card will I make...The time given for the competition is one hour, only one hour....and I think that I better figure out what I want to make at home, and prepare the supplies that I'll use....

Wish me luck!:)

Cards ideas

Hi guys! I have several cards to show you today, so let's get started!

The first card is the one which I made two weeks ago, but I haven't had the chance to post it up on this blog. Didn't I tell you I love my turquoise ink pad? Well, In this card, I combined the turquoise color with purple, and it turned out to be a pretty nice color combination.

The second and the third card that I'm going to show you, used the same embellishment: doily. About a week ago, mum went to a shop that sells cake ingredient, and I saw a pack f doilies which was cheap, you get 25 pieces for IDR 3000. So I bought it, and I found out that doilies are great embellishments for cards, especially for the girly, frilly ones...
In this card, I only used a quarter of doily, so I can save the rest three and a quarter for another card.
Another frilly, lacy valentine card..:)
The usual birds and cage images...
Cute as a button!
Can you see the tag behind the birdcage?

The secret is on the backside of the birdcage and the flower, a hidden pocket! That enabled you to slip the tag inside!!
The original color of the doily is white, however, you can add some color to it by tapping your ink pads lightly onto the doily.

Last but not least, a completely different style valentine card, enjoy! :)

Cupcake

Here's another birthday card to show you guys! :) I made this card yesterday, and I wanna tell y'all how I made the cupcake and the sentiment...

I know that I have a cupcake stamp, but the the cupcake that I needed for this card was the smaller one so I decided to cut it manually. Then, I stamped the upper section of the cupcake (that I've cut) with the upper section of the cupcake stamp, to get the cake pattern. And I stamped the lower section of the cupcake with the lower section of the stamp, to get the cup pattern. So you kinda stamp each section separately.

Didn't I tell you to cut off a section of stamp that you want to use? Well, there's an easier way! See the sentiment stamp on the right? I decided to only use the " Make a wish" part, and so,  I covered the entire surface of the stamp with some tape, leaving the "Make a wish" part that I wanted to use uncovered. Next, I inked the stamp with some pink chalk-ink. Then, I peeled the tapes off the stamp, and stamped it to my card! This way, you won't need to cut any part off your stamp.

(Remember the "love" sentiment from the Glee stamp set that I cut off from its entire stamp? Because it's so small and transparent, I lost it and it was nowhere to be found! -.-')

Anyhow, enjoy the card!

Happy Chinese New Year everyone!

It's the family tradition to visit others on Chinese New Year. Today, I visited my Popo's ( my maternal grandma) house, which was very crowded, my mom's brothers were all present, so did my mom's cousin and her sister and brother. The next visit was to my Popo's brother's house, and the last one was to my Ama's ( paternal grandma) nephew's house.

Anyway, the most fun visit was to my Popo's house, since there were my small cousins to play with. Also, my mother's cousin happens to have twin children and they're about 4 years old  (I think), and they both were really cute!

How's your day going? Did you get many angpaos? Mine was quite a lot! :)
