Circle Card

My first circle card! :)

Scallop circles

This is how you make the circle card :

 - You can use a simple circle cutter but if you don't have it, simply draw two circles of the same size and cut them out manually

- Take one of the circles and fold a small section on the top of the circle, and cover it up with glue

- Align the two circles together and press hard on the glued section, and voila! Here comes your first circle card! :)

CardEnds

Hi people, guess what? I have a card brand now, it's called CardEnds. Actually, my elder sister is the one who suggested me the name, she explained that there's a book store named BookEnds and she thinks that it'll be pretty cool if my card brand's called CardEnds. It literally means that if you're looking for cards, you'll ended up finding the cards here, at CardEnds.

Anyway, this is CardEnds logo:

Christmas Edition
I think that my sister is rather good at painting and she was the one who drew things and I was the one who told her what to draw. I said that I wanted some scallop circles at the bottom and a tree and a bird, and I wanted the tree to have gradations of color by drawing circles that are a shade lighter or darker than the other. See that cute bird over there? My sister took a such a long time to draw it, anyhow, she made it at last! :D

By the way, I have a CardEnds' account on Facebook and it shows all the cards that I've made since I was in primary school until now, so please check it out! Thanks :)

Book Tags

Besides cards and scrapbooks, things that you can also make from a bunch of pattern paper, cardstocks, and stamps are book tags! They're really fun and easy to make. All you have to do is cut a rectangular shape from a cardstock, and have fun decorating it!

Anyway, these are the book tags that I've made. Just showing them to you guys so that you all can have an idea of how my book tags look like. Enjoy! :)

Clay Projects

Yesterday I bought a pack of clay from a local bookstore because I think that I can make a lot of things from clay and that it would be nice for me to have something to do during my holiday.

The clay that I used is the DAS clay and I really like it because it's really moist and easy to shape. If it gets a little too dry, just wet your hands and squeeze the clay until it feels damp again.
Anyway, this is how you make the pots:

To make the lateral surface of the pot, just grab a handful of clay, depending on how big you want to make the pot. Then, roll it with a dough roller until you get a nice thin layer of clay. Cut it to a rectangular shape and then, bend it over until the smaller two of the four sides meet and form a cylinder.

To make the base of the pot, cut out a circle and stick it to the lateral surface of the pot. It'll stick better if you wet the upper side of the circle that meets the lateral surface of the pot.

Let the pot dry for a bit, then, you can decorate it with paint, pattern paper, or lace tapes. However, I don't recommend you to use poster paint because it's realy hard to dry!

You can make varying size of pots and vases by adjusting the size of the rectangle that will be the lateral surface of the pot.

Hopefully, my instruction is clear enough. Anyhow, Enjoy! :)

Missing You Card

Yesterday, I made a 'missing-you' card, using that birdcage stamp from the La Chataeu stamp set, and I want to show  you all the result......this card is pretty elegant, which I think is weird cause I don't usually make elegant cards, but I pretty much like it. Anyway, please leave a comment so that I'll know what you guys think about this card. Thanks :)

The request

This purple christmas card is specially made for Claudia and her family, especially for her elder sister who loves purple. She said that she likes my 'stack of presents' card and requested me to make a purple one ...... Anyway, I've lost my 'A' alphabet stamp (I'm sooo sadd:( ) and I decided to replace it with a question mark '?':P

Hope you guys like this card! :D

another new stamp :)

It may sounds weird to find a stamp in Jakarta (beside personalized stamp,of course), especially in a traditional wholesale market, but I've found it! :D Hehehehehe.........The one I bought is sort of a stamp set which is really really tiny and cute! I simply had to have it!

The stamp set consists of nine different small stamps and two coloured ink pads. Guess what? It only costs Rp. 15.000,- !! That equals to about US$ 1.7, how cheap is that ?

Anyway, If you want to purchase this stamp set, you have to go to Pasar Pagi ( I don't know where else you can purchase it, I'd only seen it there), and keep your eyes open! It is sold at a stationery stall which is really crowded with small items like pencils, and etc, and the stamps are squeezed in the middle of them all !

So, happy hunting! :)

Simply irresistible ! :)

More Christmas cards :)

My very first snowman x'mas card

I mounted the sentiments on foam adhesive to give them more dimension

Paper-cut snowman!I've had so much fun making it..:)
Punched circles....again.....(simply can't get enough of  'em)
Love those bulging eyes.... 0-0
A snowman family !!

 How to make the snowman:

- Use compass for making the snoman's body by drawing a pair of  intersecting circles         (consist of a larger circle and a smaller one)
- Hand cut the scarves and the hats and the clothes from varying colours and the noses from an orange coloured cardstock
- Punched out some circles from a regular paper-punch for the buttons
- Glue them all together
- Distress the edges with Jumbo Java Versamagic inkpad ( or other brown coloured inkpad)

enjoy ! :)
