Trip to Malaysia

Hi all, I've just returned to Indonesia after having a pleasant four nights vacation to the capital city of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. So here' my story: ( get ready, it's a pretty long one :)

The panicking began on the night before the departure day when my mum realized that there's only three months left until the expiry date of my passport. People said that you cannot travel anywhere if your passport valid less than six months. So, she started phoning her friends, asking suggestions about what to do, until finally, we decided to renew my passport the very next day.

Mum agreed to meet her friend's staff in the immigration office which was really really crowded.  We arrived there on 11am and the moment we met the guy, he told us something really bad : the system of the computer was jammed and it might take a few hours to recover. Also, the officers were going to take an hour break at 12am. It'll be impossible to wait that long since we're going to airport on 2pm.

So we went home to have some lunch and mum started phoning again, to ask the ticket agency, whether there were flights to Kuala Lumpur the next day, which were full. This time we decided to gamble, I will take the flight to Kuala Lumpur and if the immigration officer there won't let me in, I'll stay one night at the airport hotel and return to home.

So there I went, to Soekarno Hatta airport, when it's about time for checking in, I was really nervous and glad to find that the staff let me in. Then, we went to the immigration section. The officer only said that I have to renew my passport as soon as I return from my trip, and again, the officer let me in! Strangely though, I grew more and more tense. What if the officer in Kuala Lumpur won't let me in? It would be freakingly absurd you know, to have an hour and half flight to another country, to see the culture, to experience something new, and you're stuck in its airport, forbidden to go outside.

So there went my first flight to Malaysia, trying to get lose. As soon as we arrived, we hurried to the immigration counter to find a really long queue. When it's our turn to show our passports, my heart beat faster than ever. And guess what the officer said? He asked us how long will we stay in Malaysia. Mum said four nights, then, he let us in! Hooray! :D

It was late when we finally got a taxi to go to our hotel. For the next four days, me, with my mum and my grandma and my auntie visited the twin tower, genting highlands, and had a nice trip in Malaysia.

Well, that's my visit to Kuala Lumpur, hope you enjoy, and remember : always check your passport's expiry date at least one week before your departure day, happy holiday!
